Birth and baptismal certificate for Albert Miller, a son of Daniel Miller and his wife Sarah (née Rank), born the 21st day of July 1849 in the township of Swatara in Lebanon County, Pa. He was baptised on the 1st day of August 1849 by the Rev'd. Stumpf and his parents were his sponsors. The printed form is in Roman type, and the blanks have been filled in with writing in a Fraktur style. The certificate is printed within a decorative border; below the birth and baptism information is a printed verse and a Bible icon. Around the form are handcolored decorative elements: birds perched on twigs, angels holding lyres in one hand with a bird or wreath in the other outstretched arm; a wingless cherubim messenger is in the center at the head, flanked by framed verse.
